From Robert Overton's Collection: A Chinese carved Female Foo Dog. (Also called Chinese Guardian Lions, Foo Lions, or Lions of Buddha.) Usually in pairs, the female holds a cub under her paw while the male holds a ball. Elephant Ivory.

From Robert Overton's Collection: A Pair of Japanese Fisherman Okimono, Hippo Ivory. (Advertised as Elephant Ivory. When received, the differences were obvious. The grain is very fine and only noticeable when held up to the light and at the correct angle.)
From Albert Levy's Collection (http://www.ablevypb.com/): An exceptional large pair of Dieppe ivory allegorical female figures personifying night and day. Circa 1850. Each shown standing semi-naked with putto at their feet, on ebonised waisted socles. H.31" overall.

Here is a picture of the largest pair of elephant tusks EVER. These tusks weighed 237 and 225 pounds, and no other tusk in history ever went over 190 pounds. Called the Kilimanjaro Tusks they were bought by E.D. Moore early in the 20th century and eventually found their way into the British Museum.
